Handmade art and design inspired by the shapes of nature.

Teun de Boer and Kari-Anne Souwer started Wankelwerk in 2020. In the past they usually focused on their own work and haven't had much overlap since their preferred mediums differ greatly. One having a background  as a tailor and the other as a furniture maker. But over the years they've had several projects that have allowed them to collaborate.

These projects started filling their homes and slowly convinced them that there might be a world where they could actually make work together.

And thus, wankelwerk was born.

Their main inspiration comes from nature, which they beautifully translate into their work.
